We sat down with our Document Controller Nicola Mitchell who is in control of implementing Viewpoint across our business.

Nicola, you joined the team in December, tell us about your typical day and your main roles and responsibilities as Document Controller.

That’s right, I’ve been at Clarke Facades for just over 2 months. In this short time much of my work has consisted of implementing an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) into Clarke Facades. I have recently undergone much training along with analysing and researching the current folder structures. The completion of my training has further developed my skills in Document Control. The EDSM will ensure that projects will run more efficiently with how we pass necessary information from office to site.

What do you enjoy doing most outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy many things from spending time with family and friends to enjoying a range of activities. I enjoy going for walks, going to the cinema, love karaoke, learning new things, and partaking in charity events. This year I’m really looking forward to going on holiday and enjoying some beautiful sunshine in Mallorca.

What do you enjoy most about working at Clarke Facades?

I enjoy many things that Clarke Facades offer, personally I have developed my skills and understanding in my own role as Document Controller which has been brilliant. There are many upsides to working at Clarke Facades, everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming! Each Thursday the company also provides lunch for all employees which allows the opportunity for all staff to sit down and enjoy lunch together. Clarke Facades are also into charity fundraising as well as having motivational incentives and health and well-being presentations. These are great and helps to set a healthy mindset and boosts company morale.
