Ballymena Youth Rugby players were presented with new turbo tops on Saturday by two local companies, Clarke Facades and Metal Technology. Mark Wiggins, Business Development and Marketing Manager with Clarkes Facades said he was delighted to continue the companies support of Ballymena RFC. Mark said ‘We know the effort that the Club has invested in providing rugby for children in the area of all abilities and we are delighted that Clarke Facades can help the Club’s efforts in giving so many young people the opportunity to engage in sport at Eaton Park’.
Tony Rosbotham, Business Development Manager, Metal Technology also praised efforts being made at the Club. ‘Since becoming involved with Ballymena Rugby Club Metal Technology have been really impressed with the efforts of Don Pattison and his youth coaches to not only coach the young players but also help develop the players as young people, providing a disciplined and safe environment to enjoy the game’. Ballymena RFC now has one of the strongest youth sections in Ulster with their three teams sitting proudly at the top of their respective leagues.
Don Pattison, Youth Convenor says ‘The Youth Section at BRFC is often used as an example of good practice but it is only due to the support of volunteers and sponsors such as Clarke Facades and Metal Technology that we can continue to operate and progress as a youth section’. The boys now have first class equipment and kit and they are looking forward to continuing with their success in 2019.
