About our Graduate Programme

If you are a recent graduate or current undergraduate, looking to build a career within an exciting, progressive and dynamic company, you’ve certainly come to the right place!

Through our graduate programme, we hope to recruit and develop graduates who are passionate, driven and committed.  Currently our Graduate Programme is eligible to students who are studying a range of construction related courses, ranging from, but not exclusive to;

  • Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
  • Construction Engineering and Management
  • Architecture Technology and Management
  • Design Management
  • Building Surveying
  • Architectural Engineering (BEng Hons).

The Clarke Façade Graduate Programme itself was established in 2016. As our Business Development & Marketing Manager Mark Wiggins points out; “Our main aim is to utilize the finest home-grown graduate talent coming out of our Universities. We are very eager to recruit highly motivated and innovative team players that will thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment and who also have a desire to learn whilst pushing forward and craving responsibility.”

How does the programme work?

The Clarke Façade Graduate Programme will give you a combination of:

  • practical on-the-job experience
  • formal technical and commercial learning
  • first line management skills and professional development.

You’ll be supported in your day-to-day work by an on-the-job line manager. Progress will be assessed during six-monthly reviews.

What we are looking for

  • You will have achieved (or be on target to achieve) a minimum 2:1 degree or the European equivalent.
  • Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages;
  • Open minded and flexible in relation to type of work assigned
  • Individuals who can accept a high level of responsibility
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Negotiation and team work skills and the ability to motivate and lead those on site.
  • We prefer that individuals have undertaken a one-year industrial placement, however, this is not essential.

When can I apply?

Our vacancies will go live for the main 2017 intake in Autumn 2016. Other general vacancies e.g. Quantity Surveyor and Site Managers will remain open throughout the year. Please search our current vacancies. Due to the nature of our roles we do advice candidates to apply early to avoid disappointment. All CV and covering letters must be submitted before 31st March 2017.

The Graduate programme starts in September 2017 with a potential opportunity to start earlier in the year depending on availability.

All details will be reviewed and successful applicants will be called for interview.

Applicants will then be shortlisted based on the contents of their Cover Letter and CV. Those who successfully pass this shortlisting phase will be invited for a 45-minute interview and following the interview the successful applicant will be notified.
