Date: 16th October 2020
Project Name: East Wick and Sweetwater
Location: London
Main Contractor: Balfour Beatty
Architect: Axis Architects

Clarke are progressing well with live project East Wick and Sweetwater for main contractor, Balfour Beatty. This housing development project will help transform the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London and will create two new neighbourhoods with up to 1500 homes and over a range of phases.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson comments: “This is the most successful and fastest growing city anywhere in Europe, and it is absolutely vital we provide thousands of new houses to allow people to live close to their places of work. I am thrilled to confirm we have now appointed high-quality developers to help bring forward plans for these important new neighbourhoods on our iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a whopping six years ahead of target.”

Clarke are delighted to provide a bespoke solution with supply chain partners, helping to transform East London and create a place where people want to live, work and play! This is one of four liveschemes we are currently utilising the Kingspan Facades K-Roc karrier panel. Combined with 34km of bespoke aluminium pre-panelised fins, all designed and fabricated in house and extruded by AMS–Architectural & Metal Systems.

Clarke are delighted to extend their project portfolio and enhance their relationship with Balfour Beatty on this residential scheme. Working closely with the architect, Clarke are proud to provide a bespoke envelope solution!
